ISTANBUL - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that they would take necessary steps in solution of the Cyprus issue.
Addressing people in Bagcilar Square in Istanbul late on Tuesday, Erdogan said that there were several problems around Turkey.
Stressing that solution of the Iraq and Cyprus issues requires a serious determination and will, Erdogan said that they would take necessary steps in solution of Cyprus issue.
Erdogan said that with the Belgium model for Cyprus, they proposed two equal, sovereign and separate states on Cyprus and they received support of some circles.
Erdogan stressed that they would protect interests of the country and nation.
Noting that they would make reforms to strengthen local administrations, Erdogan added that they would put fully functioning democracy into practice.
