Meeting In Foreign Ministry For U.N.'s Cyprus Plan

ANKARA - The solution plan which U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan submitted to the sides in Cyprus on Tuesday, was discussed in the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.
TRNC's Ambassador to Turkey Ahmet Zeki Bulunc also participated in the meeting in which approaches that can be acceptable and not acceptable by the Turkish side were examined.
Diplomatic sources said that there is no difficulty in the issue of sovereignty of TRNC, adding that this was only a determination made according to the pre-assessment.
Sources said that there are certain uneasiness about the return of people, territory and property issues which were covered by the plan, adding that these issues have to be negotiated.
The meetings about the issue will continue in the Foreign Ministry and that the result would be presented to the political administration.
Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry officials will inform AK Party leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the U.N.'s solution plan.
Meanwhile, Erdogan will pay his first visit abroad to Italy on Wednesday for a date to be given to Turkey at Copenhagen summit.
Erdogan, who will be accompanied by Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Akýp Alptuna in his contacts in Rome, will go to Greece and Spain on November 18. Erdogan who will have contacts in Brussels on November 20, will be accompanied by different officials from the Foreign Ministry during his visits abroad.
Following the announcement of Turkey 2002 Progress Report by the EU Commission, the ''Assessment Document'' which was prepared by the contributions of the Secretariat General of EU and public institutions which are members of the Internal Coordination Harmony Committee was sent to EU Commission.
The document in English which was sent by the General Secretariat for EU Affairs to the Foreign Ministry last week, was sent to the EU Commission.
The Assessment Document analyses the developments which took place in Turkey in the period after the publication of the Progress Report.
The document carries importance in order to ensure that the new Accession Partnership Document that will be prepared by the EU Commission to have correct data.
