30 HOT DAYS IN CYPRUS
The sides on Cyprus will give a response to the plan of the U.N. Secretary General till Copenhagen Summit on December 12, where a definite date will be set for the Greek Cypriot side. Thus, the problem, which can not be solved for 30 years, will be solved in 30 days after reaching an agreement on this plan.
The U.N. Secretary General presented Cyprus plan to the sides on Monday, and thus a new page has been opened. Now that, the problem, which the sides could not solve for 30 years, should be solved within 30 days after reaching an agreement on it. There is Copenhagen Summit at the end of these 30 days, and the Greek Cypriot side certainly wants to get a date for EU membership.
The plan was presented to the Greek Cypriot leader Glafcos Clerides and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas. The plan was also conveyed to Turkey, Greece and Britain through their permanent representatives in the U.N.
ERDOGAN: WE WILL CONSULT, BUT WE WILL NOT SHARE THE RULING
Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded to President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, who said ''a special arrangement can not take place for a person in the Constitution'', with a message that opposition against his prime ministry will be disrespect to the national will.
Erdogan said, ''national will has been delivered to us. We will not share this will with anybody. However, of course, we will discuss this issue with the opposition and the NGOs''.

FROM POLICE STATION TO COMA
Deniz Yilmaz was taken into custody on charges that he caused trouble in a match between Eskisehirspor and Gungoren. Yilmaz, who was brought to Carsi Police Station, was later immediately hospitalized. When Yilmaz was brought to the hospital, his lungs were burst, and his ribs were broken. Police said, ''he injured himself by hitting himself to the wall''.
ERDOGAN'S STATEMENTS BECOME TOUGHER
Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, responding to the statement of Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit that ''a very serious state problem waits for Turkey in AK Party ruling'' pointed out that, ''I have been looking at Ecevit period since 1998. The results are clear. In such a case, I don't take statements of Ecevit into consideration.''
IRAQ BARGAINING WITH CIA DELEGATION
A 25-people CIA delegation, who came to Turkey in the same day with Gen. Hilmi Ozkok, the Chief of General Staff who returned from the United States, set at table with the Turkish side. Holding the U.S. operation against Iraq, without using peshmergas, was discussed during the meeting.

HOME ALONE
Tansu Ciller, the leader of the True Path Party (DYP) tries to pass the difficult election period at home. She lost weight because of election stress. Ciller could not be elected as parliamentarian and she says ''this is politics'' while responding to this. Responding to those who don't want her in DYP, she says ''they are my family'' with wet eyes.
Speaking about the convention, Ciller said, ''I stated my will on November 4. Even if they show me as candidate, I am standing at that point.''
Ciller said she had worked as prime minister, and that she would help the truths to be found.
F-4 ACCIDENT GETS OFF LIGHTLY
An F-4 type war plane, belonging to Air Forces Command, crashed into a hill near Sivrihisar Township in central Anatolian Eskisehir province due to a technical failure during training flight.
The two pilots of the warplane had jumped with parachute before the crash and rescued from the accident.
Mustafa Musluk, the shepherd of Karadat Village who witnessed the incident, pointed out that, ''explosions occurred one after the other while four planes were flying side by side. Later, the plane began to lose altitude rapidly. It hit the rocks after flying over the Karadat village and crashed into the hill.

ECEVIT: ''REGIME IS IN DANGER''
Democratic Left Party (DSP) leader and Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit has defended that the Justice and Development Party's (AK Party) being in the power could cause several drawbacks for the secular and democratic regime. Stating that a government which would be founded by AK Party would not represent the political power, Ecevit said, ''a person who is not a deputy will determine prime minister and ministers. A person who is not a prime minister will govern the Council Of Ministers. Those developments mean a radical change in the regime.''
JUSTICE MINISTER CELIKEL: ''A BASIC LAW LIKE CONSTITUTION CAN'T BE AMENDED FOR INDIVIDUALS''
Justice Minister Aysel Celikel said that a basic law like the Constitution could not be amended for individuals. Responding the questions of journalists asking her view about the speech of President Ahmet Necdet Sezer who criticized efforts to change the laws to make Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Erdogan the prime minister, Celikel said that ''I share Mr. Sezer's views because a basic law like the Constitution can't be amended for individuals. Other ways have to be found.''

TOWARD 'SOLUTION' IN CYPRUS
United Nations (U.N.) Secretary General Kofi Annan's solution plan was welcomed by both of the leaders in Cyprus. Annan's solution plan was submitted to the sides and the guarantor states; Turkey, Greece and Britain. Annan who called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas wanted him to examine the plan carefully. Annan called the two sides to reach agreement till the Copenhagen Summit. Denktas said that they would assess positively the document, while Greek Cypriot leader Glafcos Clerides said that it could be a base for the negotiations. The plan which was inspired by the Belgian, Zurich and Swiss models provides Turkish side with guarantee for the constitution and autonomy and it provides Greek Cypriot side with territory advantages.
CENTRAL BANK WARNS NEW GOVERNMENT, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS
Central Bank said that measures have to be taken immediately to compensate the damage formed in the public finance in the last months and delay in structural reforms in order to maintain the success in decreasing the inflation. Issuing a statement, Central Bank said that the continuation of the structural reforms and the financial discipline in the year 2003 will affect positively the decrease in inflation. The statement said that private sector had a significant place as much as the public sector in fighting against the inflation and added that private sector should determine the incomes and pricing policy by taking into consideration the inflation target.

ERDOGAN: ''STATEMENTS PUT FORWARD BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE JUSTICE MINISTER ARE REQUIREMENTS OF LAW''
Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the statements put forward both by President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Justice Minister Aysel Celikel were requirements of law, stressing that, ''those are like this in the law. It does not take place as a different article. Don't forget that it is the duty of the political will to overcome a difficulty that contradicts with the national will.'' Erdogan responded to the questions of reporters following his meeting with Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) Chairman Zafer Caglayan. When asked whether or not amendment to Article 109 of the Constitution would be made after opening of the parliament, Erdogan said that there were a number of obstacles they had to overcome.

AK Party which is getting prepared to launch social reform work as soon as it comes onto the political power aims to strengthen the family by making significant changes in the law. SABANCI IN BAKU FOR THE FIRST TIME
Six Turkish businessmen including Sakip Sabanci came to Baku to search for the business opportunities in the country as the guest of Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev. Aliyev who met with Sakip Sabanci, Bulent Eczacibasi, Erdogan Demiroren, Nihat Gokyigit, Zeynel Abidin Erdem, Haydar Akin and Erhan Oner said that the most important Turkish businessman who came to his country after they gained their independence was Sabanci. The businessmen will proceed to Sumgait after wrapping up their contacts in Baku.
