ANKARA - Scheduled visit of Iraqi Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leader Jalal Talabani, expected to take place at the weekend, is envisaged to take place before the planned time.
Officials of PUK Communication Office in Ankara said that Talabani would visit Ankara on Tuesday.
Talabani was expected to visit Ankara in November 16-17.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Talabani did not call for an appointment from Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan for a meeting.
PUK leader had met with Erdogan in March and September and exchanged views related with the region.
Talabani, during the meeting in March, wished AK Party to play an important role in Turkey, and stated that, ''we have heard that Erdogan was a militant working for the success of Turkey and for democracy. We even heard his struggle in prison. Our heart was also with him at those times.''
Talabani had sent a message of congratulation after AK Party came out as the first party from the elections.
Talabani will exchange views in Ankara prior to the meeting of Iraqi oppositions expected to take place in Brussels on November 22.
Regional parliament, constitution and situation of Turkmens within the framework of recent developments in Northern Iraq, are expected to be discussed during Talabani's meetings.
