ANKARA - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leader Bulent Arinc said on Sunday, ''we do not think of an arrangement related with our leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Words of the president are definitely accurate words'' when commenting on the statement of President Ahmet Necdet Sezer that ''they should refrain from arrangements peculiar to a person and politicization of laws.''
Responding to questions of reporters, Arinc said that he appreciated the words of President Sezer, whom he defined as ''one of the people who complains the most about politicization of laws.''
Asked if Sezer mentioned AK Party leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Arinc said, ''we do not think of an arrangement related with Erdogan. Words of the president are definitely accurate words.''
Arinc added, ''law should not be politicized. There cannot be a law or jurisdiction according to persons. If there is such thing, then this cannot be called law. Turkey is a state of Constitution. Legal rules are valid for everybody. Of course, arrangements related with the article 76 of the Constitution and other articles should be within the norms of the legal state. These are very clear things. There is no need to interpret them.''
