Furniture Sellers To Promote Their Products In Germany, France And Netherlands

IZMIR - Furniture sellers of western Izmir province will open showrooms in Germany, the Netherlands and France following Greece.
Izmir Furniture Sellers Chambers and Izmir Furniture Sellers Inc. (IZMAS) Executive Board President Mustafa Kara told A.A correspondent on Sunday that 125 furniture sellers in Izmir exported their products to Greece and opened a showroom there to increase their exports.
Kara said that they would also open showrooms in Germany, the Netherlands and France in the following year to enter into those markets.
Noting that Greece would be their export base, Kara stated that they thought that they could more easily open to other countries from Greece.
Kara stressed the importance of participation in international markets and said that Izmir furniture sellers would join fairs in Paris and Italy in 2003.
Pointing out that furniture exports from Izmir would reach 10 million U.S. dollars by the end of this year, Kara said that their target for 2003 was 50 million U.S. dollars.
