Tourism In Four Seasons In Safranbolu

SAFRANBOLU - Japanese tourists constitute the majority of tourists visiting Safranbolu, which is one of the most important examples of Turkish city culture.
Safranbolu, the historical township of Karabuk, get the interest of the tourists with nearly 2,000 traditional Turkish houses, canyons, and caves.
Provincial Tourism Directorate officials said Japanese tourists constituted nearly 7,000 of the 10,000 tourists who visited the township this year.
The officials said, ''as Japanese people are interested in the cultural values, many people from this country visit Safranbolu. The township is the only region in the world whose historical structure is being protected. We have the facilities to shelter 10,000 visitors.''
