Parliament To Convene On Thursday

ANKARA - New deputies forming the 22nd term parliament will take oath at the Parliament General Assembly on Thursday.
Under the Constitution, the parliament is called for a meeting at 3.00 p.m. after the announcement of final results of the general elections by the Higher Election Board (YSK).
Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy Sukru Elekdag, the oldest member of the parliament, will chair the general assembly.
Deputies who cannot attend the oath taking ceremony will take their oath in the first session they join.
Deputies will run their candidacies for parliament speaker's office and chairmanship council within five days after the oath taking ceremony. Elections will be held in the second five-days of time.
