ISTANBUL - True Path Party (DYP) leader Tansu Ciller said on Saturday that recovery of central right was extremely important.
Speaking at a news conference, Ciller congratulated Republican People's Party (CHP) and Justice and Development Party (AK Party) who entered the parliament.
Ciller said AK Party came to ruling with the will of the nation, stressing that, ''this is at the same time a very big responsibility. This responsibility should be shared.''
Pointing out that parties, who were left outside the parliament, also have important duties, Ciller said, ''recovery of central right is extremely important. They have given us an assignment for the recovery of central right. Whatever my position will be, I will work to unite central right.''
Ciller said Turkey has important problems in front of itself, adding one of this was Cyprus.
Recalling that the U.N. Council gave seven days for disarmament, Ciller said a clash may come onto the agenda after this. She said this was extremely important for Turkey.
Responding to a question if union with Motherland Party (ANAP) would come onto the agenda, Ciller said, ''the nation has showed one address. This is undoubtedly DYP.''
Noting that DYP and Turkey were important for her, Ciller stated that it would be everybody's duty to prepare DYP as a new power.
Ciller added that she would work individually to make DYP a new power irrespective of her position.
