ANKARA - Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit received Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Prosecutor Sabih Kanadoglu on Thursday.
The meeting which was closed to the press, lasted for about 20 minutes.
Responding questions of journalists following the meeting, Kanadoglu said that he had paid a visit to courtesy to Prime Minister Ecevit.
When asked, ''Fadil Akgunduz was elected as independent deputy. There is not a second country in the world in which political immunity is used in such a way. What do you think about it?'' Kanadoglu said, ''I explained my views about political immunity in an article. In the general elections, we observed how dangerous political immunity is. Earlier, I applied to the Higher Election Board (YSK) about Akgunduz. If the jurists are given opportunity, they will fulfill their responsibilities.''
Kanadoglu refrained from responding a question whether or not he was concerned about the Justice and Development Party's (AK Party) political power.
