Higher Election Board Names A.K.P. And C.H.P. As Winners Of General Elections

ANKARA - Higher Election Board (YSK) announced on Wednesday the temporary results of the November 3 general elections.
According to the temporary results, 32 million 646 thousand 124 of 41 million 231 thousand 967 voters casted their votes in Sunday's elections.
A total of 31 million 414 thousand 748 votes were considered valid excluding the votes casted at customs gates.
Around 20.8 percent of voters, equal to 8 million 585 thousand 843 people, did not use their votes in the general elections.
Around 114 thousand 35 of the votes casted at customs gates were considered valid.
One million 231 thousand 376 votes were considered invalid in this elections.
YSK announced Justice and Development Party (AK Party), which gained 10 million 808 thousand 229 votes, and Republican People's Party (CHP), which won 6 million 113 thousand 352 votes, as the winners of the elections.
