ANKARA - Council of Ministers convened on Wednesday for the last time under the leadership of Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit.
State Minister Masum Turker will explain the recent economic developments in the meeting.
Interior Minister Muzaffer Ecemis will give information about the EU Candidate Countries Interior Ministers meeting in which he participated.
Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit is expected to deliver a speech to thank for the cabinet meetings for their studies during the 57th government.
At the end of the meeting, Ecevit will say farewell to prime ministry correspondents.
Before the cabinet meeting, the leaders of three coalition parties had a meeting which lasted for 20 minutes. Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Sukru Sina Gurel also attended the meeting.

Ecevit said that they held elections without explaining what they had done and what they were planning to do and noted, ''we paid the cost of this in an unjust way.''
Ecevit made a farewell statement to journalists after the Council of Ministers meeting that lasted 40 minutes.
They made radical reforms when they were in the power, Ecevit said.
Ecevit noted that this was probably their last meeting if no problem occurred.
A culture of compromise came to Turkey not only in political life but also in general life during their term in office, Ecevit stated.
Ecevit pointed out that the government did its best to solve the problems it came across during its term in office.
Noting that coalition parties had great contribution to this situation, Ecevit thanked also for the contributions of independent ministers to the government.
Ecevit said that they changed the infrastructure of the economy on an important level and added that their value would be understood in the future.
Noting that the production increased, export and tourism developed and industrial production increased during his government's term, Ecevit said that textile and automotive sectors also developed positively and he added that they made progress in economy, besides social justice.
Ecevit said they did not get a positive result from the elections, but that they had very constructive attitudes, and that the value of those would be appreciated gradually.
Ecevit said he thought contribution of the coalition partners to this end would be better evaluated, and that secular democracy, which is the principle element of the Republic, became rooted in the period of the 57the government. Ecevit also said ''I hope that next governments would be careful about this.''
