ANKARA - True Path Party (DYP) said in its application to Higher Election Board that the votes got by Democratic Peoples' Party (DEHAP) should not be taken into consideration while counting the valid votes.
DYP claimed that if DEHAP is not considered eligible for taking part in elections, the votes got by DYP should be counted again.
DYP said in its petition to Higher Election Board that ''if DEHAP's votes which are 1,95 million are considered as invalid, they can affect the result of the elections. In this case, the valid votes will be 29,4 million in Turkey and the votes of DYP which is 3,1 million will constitute 10.18 percent, which is higher than the election threshold.''
