Independents Have Success In Eastern And Southeastern Turkey

DIYARBAKIR - A total of eight of the nine independent deputies who were elected to the parliament are from eastern and southeastern Turkey.
The election of the eight independents from the region has been commented as the success of the independents in the east and southeast Turkey.
The majority of the independents are from the rightist parties who left their parties and who joined the ''resentful deputies movement.''
Provinces of Bitlis, Hakkari, Elazýg, Mardin, Siirt, Sanlýurfa, Sýrnak and Igdýr sent one independent deputy each to the parliament.
Edip Safter Gaydalý, who is elected from Bitlis and Mehmet Agar who is elected from Elazig were former ministers.
