Helicopter Explodes In Air

IZMIT - Military helicopter which crashed into Sapanca Lake in Esme hamlet of Izmit province exploded in air, it was found out on Monday.
Eyewitness Ozkan Gencer (30) told the A.A correspondent that the helicopter exploded in air and added that they got on a boat and went to the spot after the helicopter crashed into the lake. He said that they took non-commissioned officers Mustafa Serbest and Hakan Sagiroglu, who were rescued from the accident, to the coast and later they were hospitalized.
Gence added that they did not see the two other crew members in the helicopter.
SAT commandos are also participating in the search and rescue efforts.
