Yilmaz Decides To Quit Leadership And Active Politics

ANKARA - Motherland Party (ANAP) leader Mesut Yilmaz said on Monday that he decided to quit leadership and active politics to help a new formation in his party.
Yilmaz told reporters that ANAP needed a new formation and that a new period started in Turkish politics as of today.
Politics would be re-shaped according to the results of this election, Yilmaz said.
Yilmaz added, ''as ANAP, and even as the central right, I believe that we need a new formation. I have decided to leave ANAP leadership and active politics to help this new formation.''
