ISTANBUL - A total of six persons who didn't abide by election bans, who cast votes for more than once and who carried fake ballots on them were taken into custody in Istanbul on Sunday.
Election Operation Centre formed at Istanbul Security Directorate said that Motherland Party (ANAP) observers Hikmet Ozturk and Senol Cukuryurt were taken into custody as they were accused of talking to electors to win their votes in front of Yunus Emre High School.
A man who had a fake ballot on him having the ''yes'' seal for Democratic Peoples' Party (DEHAP) and another person who voted for his brother were also captured.
Two other persons who used votes for more than once in Gaziosmanpasa district were also taken into custody.
