Logoglu: We Want Iraqi Issue To Be Solved Peacefully

WASHINGTON D.C. - Turkish Ambassador to the United States Faruk Logoglu said on Saturday that Turkey wants Iraqi issue to be solved peacefully.
Responding to questions of journalists in American C-Span tv channel, Logoglu said that Turkey and the United States had close consultations on the Iraqi issue.
Upon a question saying Turkey did not want a possible military operation against Iraq, Logoglu stated that Turkey had some concerns and it supported Iraqi issue to be solved peacefully. He also stressed that they were working with the United States to make Iraq comply with the U.N. Security Council resolutions.
James Kitfield, National Journal's reporter for national security said in his part that an operation against Iraq without Turkey could not be thought and added that the United States should act together with Turkey during a possible military operation.
