Greek Foreign Minister Papandreou In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou arrived in Istanbul on Thursday.
Papandreou and his wife Ada will watch the UEFA Cup second round match between Fenerbahce and Panathinaikos.
Responding to questions of reporters, Papandreou stressed that sports events were a game of friendship and hoped that this match would be played in a friendly atmosphere and would further improve existing relations between the two countries.
Hoping the best team to win the match, Papandreou said that he was also hopeful that this match would contribute to organization of Euro 2008, which the two countries wanted to co-host.
