Turkish Producers Of Ready - Made Clothing Due To Paris

ANKARA - Turkish producers of ready-made clothing will pay a visit to French capital Paris, one of the centers of fashion, to increase their exports to France.
A delegation headed by Foreign Trade Undersecretariat Exports Department Director General Soner Masa will leave for Paris on October 28.
Representatives of 56 textile and ready-made clothing firms will join the visit.
Turkish businessmen will hold bilateral contacts with representatives of French firms including Lafayette, Printems, Bon Marche and NAF-NAF.
Meanwhile, Masa will meet with French Ministry of Foreign Trade and Trade Development Center officials.
The visit will be organized by the Istanbul Textile and Ready-Made Clothing Exporters' Association (ITKIB).
According to data of the Foreign Trade Undersecretariat, exports of textiles and ready-made clothings from Turkey to France have increased in recent years. Exports of textiles and ready-made clothings to France which were 639 million 258.9 thousand U.S. dollars in 1999, increased to 677 million 848.3 thousand U.S. dollars in 2001. In the January-March period of 2002, Turkey exported 177 million 41 thousand U.S. dollars of textiles and ready-made clothings to France.
