GAZIANTEP - Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region exported 16 thousand 903 tonnes of sugar and 13 thousand 170 tonnes of cakes, biscuits, chocolate and candies in first nine months of 2002 and obtained an income of 26 million 883 thousand U.S. dollars.
In the same period last year, the region exported 77 thousand 974 tonnes of sugar and 11 thousand 498 tonnes of cakes, biscuits, chocolate and candies and obtained an income of 40 million 311 thousand U.S. dollars.
Gaziantep-based Southeast Anatolian Exporters' Association told the A.A on Saturday that most of the products were exported to Iraq, Germany, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Lebanon.
