Gunes: We Are In Favor Of Territorial Integrity Of Iraq

ASHKHABAD - Iraqi Turkmen Democratic Party leader Ahmet Gunes said on Saturday that they were in favor of territorial integrity of Iraq.
Gunes who is currently in Turkmenistan to attend ceremonies to mark the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, Gunes told the A.A correspondent, ''we have been following the developments in Iraq. There should not be a discrimination among Kurdish, Turkmen and Arab peoples to provide a democratic regime in Iraq. Everyone in Iraq should be treated equally. We will support the new government in Baghdad in the period after Saddam Hussein.''
''The most important thing is not to allow administration of a second leader like Saddam Hussein. We will do our utmost to prevent it,'' he said.
Noting that the Turkmen were the third partner in Iraq, Gunes added, ''we will continue to be a partner after the Iraqi administration is changed. If our rights are not granted, stability cannot be settled in Iraq.''
