Ecevit: I Couldn't Understand What Ak Party Will Bring For The Country

ANKARA - Democratic Left Party (DSP) leader and Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit said on Thursday that he couldn't understand what AK Party would bring for the country, adding ''they don't put forward any concrete thing, this raises doubt among people.''
Responding to questions in a private tv channel, Ecevit said that ''AK Party had repercussions in the public opinion, but I couldn't understand what that party will bring to this country. This party has to clearly announce what it will bring to the country when it comes to power. But I can't see such a thing.''
When reminded that the prime minister candidate of this party was not yet known, Ecevit said that the party tries to show itself as if it was unjustly treated.
''There are some people saying that AK Party would increase its votes as it gave the impression that it was unjustly treated. Do you also agree with that?'' asked the journalist to Ecevit who said that ''this can be true in a certain extent.''
Upon a question about the questionnaires which show DSP not having much votes among people, Ecevit said that such kind of questionnaires don't reflect the truth. Ecevit said that the village population in Turkey is 45 percent, but no questionnaires were carried out in villages. ''Certain circles prepared some tricks in order to destroy the DSP, but they were not successful in that.''
