ISTANBUL - Garanti Bank's office in Shanghai, which is the only Turkish bank in China, helps Chinese and Turkish entrepreneurs in trade.
Garanti Bank said in a statement on Tuesday that the bank's Shanghai office also acts as consultant for firms in many sectors from textile to automotive, from durable goods to tourism.
Tolga Egemen, the deputy director general of Garanti Bank in charge of foreign trade said that having a branch in the Chinese economy which is ranked the sixth in the world with its 500 billion dollars of foreign trade volume is very important for them.
Garanti Bank's Shanghai's representative Noyan Rona said that the Chinese market is not known much by Turkish businessmen and firms, adding that they give service free of charge to clients who want to sell their products or services in the Chinese market.
