Tunisian Defense Minister Visits Cakmakoglu

ANKARA - Tunisian Minister of National Defense Dali Jazi visited National Defense Minister Sabahattin Cakmakoglu on Tuesday.
During the visit of Jazi, Cakmakoglu said that bilateral relations between Turkey and Tunisia were continued in the Mediterranean and East Mediterranean within the scope of NATO.
Cakmakoglu noted that the two countries had similarities in their regional and international policies.
Cooperation in military training and defense industry was developing, Cakmakoglu stated.
Jazi said that they came together to improve cooperation between the two countries.
Visit of Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali to Turkey accelerated cooperation in every field, Jazi noted and said that commercial relations had developed rapidly in recent years.
Tunisia and Turkey acted as a bridge between Asia and Europe, Jazi pointed out and expressed belief that the two countries would achieve better things in cooperation and development.
