ANKARA - A group of Association of Blind People members laid a black wreath in front of the U.S. Embassy in Ankara on Tuesday to protest U.S. plan to stage a military operation against Iraq.
The group carrying banners which said, ''war means death and physical disability'', ''war is the mass source of physical disability'', ''United States, take your hands out of the region'' chanted slogans saying, ''we don't want any more disabled people'', ''we don't want war and death and another Israel''.
Speaking on behalf of the group, association chairman Eyyup Dogan said that they wanted lasting peace both in Turkey and in the world.
Later, the group laid a black wreath in front of the U.S. Embassy.
