Izgi: U.S. And Western Countries Want Is To Take Turkey Into A War

SEYDISEHIR - Parliament Speaker Omer Izgi said on Saturday, ''the only thing the United States and western countries want is to take Turkey into a war by forcing two miserable people like Talabani and Barzani to make statements.''
Responding to questions of reporters, Izgi said that Turkey had known that Barzani and Talabani had an intention to found a state in Northern Iraq and broaden this state towards Turkey's borders.
Izgi noted that foundation of a Kurdish state was impossible without permission of Turkey.
Every kind of formation in Northern Iraq was under the control of Turkey, Izgi stated.
Izgi went on saying, ''foundation of a Kurdish state covering oil basin around Mosul, Kirkuk and Al Suleymaniyah like they are dreaming is impossible. We are in favour of protection of Iraq's territorial integrity. Even if territorial integrity of Iraq is protected from now on, Turkmens should also benefit from rights provided to Kurdish people in Northern Iraq.''
Commenting on statements that Kirkuk was chosen as a capital to the state that Kurdish groups wanted to establish, Izgi said, ''neither Talabani nor Barzani can have claim rights on Kirkuk. The United States and western countries push them into front with such claims. The only thing the United States and western countries want is to take Turkey into a war by forcing two miserable people like Talabani and Barzani to make statements.''
Stressing that Turkey would not enter into a war with such incitements, Izgi said that Talabani and Barzani laid their own traps with such statements.
Izgi pointed out that even continuation of existence of Talabani and Barzani as well as their establishment of a Kurdish state in Northern Iraq could only be possible with Turkey's permission.
''They have to know this. Barzani and Talabani are two miserables deprived of common sense. Barzani said that 'a Kurdish state to be founded is not within the borders of Turkey.' They are making politics by rejecting what they said the previous day. These people are the puppets of the West and the United States. We do not believe that they are sincere whatever they say. The real thing is the things said against us. We do not find the things said in favour of us as sincere,'' Izgi said.
Asked if Turkey had sent soldiers to Northern Iraq, Izgi said, ''we are always doing such things. Around 6 thousand PKK militants are being deployed in case of an intervention in Turkey since there will be an operation in Northern Iraq soon. These militants who used to live in camps are now being placed in various parts in the region against a military force to come from Turkey.''
Izgi added, ''what will Turkey do in such a case? It will not just watch it. Of course, Turkey has to enter into the regions which have to be taken under control. What Turkey is doing is not different from what it did yesterday. Sending soldiers to the region is a measure taken by Turkey against an activity in Northern Iraq.''
