KAYSERI - Kayseri Sugar Factory will export 2 million U.S. dollars of spring water to Israel.
A ceremony was held to sign an agreement with the Matan Tavor company of Israel.
During the ceremony, Kayseri Sugar Factory Executive Board President Vedat Ali Ozisik said that the water produced in ''Pansu'' facilities established under the umbrella of the factory would be exported to Israel.
Ozisik noted that they would export 480 containers of water to Israel and added, ''we will export water to Germany soon. Our factory has a capacity to export 15 million U.S. dollars of water a year. We will start to export 55-60 percent of water in the following nine months. We will raise an income of 2 million U.S. dollars from our expors to Israel.''
Matan Tavor General Director Pinhas Abitbul said that they preferred to purchase water from Pansu among almost 30 European companies.
Abitbul noted that Pansu's water was both reasonable and of high quality, adding that they planned to sign agreements of sugar exportation in the future.
