Greek Consul In Izmir Sekeris Visits Mayor Piristina

IZMIR - Greek Consul in Izmir Evangelos Sekeris visited on Tuesday Izmir Greater City Mayor Ahmet Piristina.
Piristina expressed pleasure with the visit of Sekeris and said that they thanked Greek consul for visiting them. He added that he wished Sekeris success in his diplomatic career and studies in Izmir.
Meanwhile, Sekeris, who started his term in office two weeks ago, said that he, together with Piristina, would contribute to development of relations between the two countries.
Sekeris stated that local governments in Greece and Turkey were appointed with elections and there would be an election in Greece on Sunday. He expressed belief that good relations would be established with the newly-elected mayors.
He said that he was ready to make cooperation and extend support during his term in office and added that his first impression in Izmir was positive.
