Ankara Pleased With Free And Fair Elections In Bosnia - Herzegovina

ANKARA - Ankara expressed pleasure on Tuesday that October 5 general elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina were held in a safe, free and fair atmosphere.
A Foreign Ministry statement said that final results of the elections held in the level of state and canton in Bosnia-Herzegovina since 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement had not been announced yet.
The statement noted, ''yet, we expect all political cadres to undertake roles in legislative and executive organs and to undertake the function of opposition will exert efforts with a determination to continue reforms on the basis of secular and democratic legal state principle.''
''Turkey, which has stressed the importance it attributed to security, stability, and territorial integrity of Bosnia-Herzegovina in every opportunity, will continue to support the integration process of this friendly and sister country with Europe and Euro-Atlantic organizations,'' the statement added.
