ANKARA - Military Electronics Industry Corporation (Aselsan) will export 18.5 million U.S. dollars of firing control systems and electric weapons and tower reinforcement systems to Israel.
Releasing a statement on Tuesday, Aselsan said that Israel-based ELBIT System Limited and it had signed a 18 million 555 thousand 335 U.S. dollars of contract under the M-60 Tank Modernization programme.
Under this contract, devices and equipment belonging to firing control systems and electric weapons and tower reinforcement systems that will be produced at Aselsan's microelectronic, guidance and electro-optic facilities in Akyurt will be exported to Israel between 2004-2007.
The contract will enter into force after the main contract signed between the Defense Industry Undersecretariat and Israeli Military Industries Ltd. which is the main undertaker of M-60 Modernization programme takes effect.
