ANKARA - New Turkey Party (YTP) deputy Tunay Dikmen resigned from his party on Tuesday.
Sending a petition to the Parliament Speaker's Office, Dikmen said that he made a mistake by leaving the Democratic Left Party (DSP) and joining the YTP.
Speaking to the press about his resignation from YTP, Dikmen apologized from DSP leader Bulent Ecevit for leaving DSP and joining YTP.
The number of YTP's seats in the parliament decreased to 58 with Dikmen's resignation, while the number of independent deputies increased to 22.
