Air Forces Commander Asparuk In Kabul

KABUL - Air Forces Commander Cumhur Asparuk arrived in Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday.
Asparuk told reporters that he was pleased to be in Afghanistan, a ''friendly and sister country.''
Turkey joined peace enforcement operations in many parts of the world and contributed to world peace, Asparuk said.
Asparuk noted that he would visit Turkish soldiers and high-level Afghan officials during his visit.
He would inaugurate Yakatut High School which was restored with contributions of Turkey and which would enable education of almost 6,000 girl and boy students, Asparuk stated.
Asparuk added, ''I would like to state that as Turkish Armed Forces, we are ready to do our best for welfare and happiness of friendly Afghan people in the light of our friendly ties with Afghanistan, which is an inheritance of Ataturk.''
