ANKARA - Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit said on Tuesday that he told Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz that Baghdad administration should not give anybody an opportunity.''
When a journalist asked, ''you met Tariq Aziz. Is there any message coming from Saddam,'' Ecevit said, ''it is not a message, but he gave information. It is clear that there is not any obstacle following the recent decisions and the U.N. resolutions. Aziz briefed us about this. We have congratulated them as they took a decision to open doors to the inspectors. The important thing is how this would happen. We have conveyed them that Baghdad administration should not give anybody an opportunity.''
Ecevit said, ''it is obvious that the United States wants to put forward some conditions. He conveyed his views in this respect. Also, we have gradually increasing economic relations with Iraq. We have exchanged views on those issues.''
When asked if he conveyed the sensitivities regarding Iraq's territorial integrity, Ecevit said, ''of course''.
