NEVSEHIR - Turkey will be promoted in 62 tourism fairs to be organized in 26 countries in 2003.
Turkish Hoteliers Association (TUROB) Deputy Chairman Ahmet Tok said on Sunday that they attributed importance to international fairs for promotion of Turkey's cultural and historical beauties, sea and sun.
Tok noted, ''Turkey will start its fair tours by a fair to be organized in Britain on January 2003. Turkey will be represented in 10 fairs in Germany, 7 in Switzerland and 6 in Britain with the cooperation of Tourism Minstry and private sectors in February, March and April. Turkey will be promoted in 3 fairs each in Austria and Italy, 2 each in Belgium, France, Japan, Canada, Spain, Australia and Russian Federation, and 1 each in Poland, United Arab Emirates, the United States, Czech Republic, Sweden, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Yugoslavia, Norway and Israel till November 2003.''
Ahmet Tok, who is also acting as the Chairman of Cappadocia Touristic Facilities Association (KAPTID), stated that Cappadocia region would be promoted in six international fairs in Madrid, Milano, Berlin, Moscow, Geneva and London.
