ANTALYA - House of Santa Claus in Kale township of southern Antalya province will be repaired by income to be provided by a campaign launched by the Santa Claus Foundation on the internet.
Santa Claus Foundation Chairman Muammer Karabulut told A.A correspondent on Sunday that house of Saint Nicholas, who was born in ancient Patara site near Antalya's Kas township and died in Demer (Myra), was damaged by natural disasters.
Karabulut said that house of Santa Claus was supposed to be constructed on an Apollon temple, which remained from Lykians.
The house suffered heavy damages by flood disasters in centuries and big earthquake in A.D. 529, Karabulut noted.
Karabulut stated that because of the repetition of the disasters, the construction was covered by soil for a long time.
House of Santa Claus would be repaired by income to be obtained by donations made by visiting web-site of the organization ''www.santaclausfoundation.org'' by paying a symbolic cost of at least 2 U.S. dollars, Karabulut pointed out.
Karabulut added that their campaign was supported by many people.
