AVANOS - As diplomacy traffic related with Iraq is getting busier in Ankara with the visit of Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz, Kurdish groups in Northern Iraq started a close follow-up to Aziz's visit.
Sadi Ahmed Pire, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) member responsible for foreign affairs, will proceed to Ankara to hold contacts after the conference on ''Iraq and Democracy'' ends in Avanos township of central Nevsehir province.
Pire, who will be in Ankara during visit of Aziz, told A.A correspondent on Saturday that they wanted to have good relations with Turkey, an important country in the region.
The ''federal state'', which they were often mentioning with Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (IKDP) and they were trying to put into practice, was just a proposal for the time being, Pire said.
Pire noted that if this proposal was accepted by all Iraqi people, it could be put into implementation.
The last agreement they reached with IKDP was made to solve conflicts between the two parties, Pire stated.
Pire said that they were trying to unite views of Iraqi Kurds about a federation under a single umbrella.
Upon a question on Kirkuk and Mosul, Pire said that ethnic structure of the population in these cities had not been definite yet. However, he claimed, it would become definite after researches.
Pire added that Kirkuk was a Northern Iraq mosaic.
