''Turkey tries to base these relations on institutional framework which won't be affected by personal or daily changes. We want to further deepen our bilateral relations in the region. Turkey also gives importance to regional cooperations. Turkey took the front in reconstruction of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the foundation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization. These institutions contribute to integration of the region with the international economy system. Great progress was recorded in our region in issues of forming a single market, improving transportation and communication network, benefitting better from the financial opportunities and taking under guarantee the investment environment in member states.''
''I would like to stress that Turkey attributes special importance to participation of all Eurasian countries in the World Trade Organization. We think that the activities of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization and ECO should be further improved,'' Sezer noted.
Sezer said that the mutual confidence among the nations was re-created by the development of the new cooperation plans and stated that they welcomed the peace, stability and cooperation atmosphere which was strengthened in the regions which had suffering in the past like in Caucasus and Balkans.
Stressing that Baku-Ceyhan-Tbilisi oil pipeline project which would provide transportation of Caspian Basin's rich energy sources to international markets was one of the most concrete and successful examples of this cooperation, Sezer said that he hoped that this pipeline whose foundation was laid with Azerbaijani and Georgian Presidents last week would be a model for all countries in the region.
