GAZIANTEP - Southeast Anatolia Project (GAP) region exported agricultural products worth of 12 million 103 thousand dollars with 1.8 increase to African countries in eight months this year.
The amount of export was 11 million 887 thousand dollars in the same period last year.
Southeast Anatolia Exporters Association stated that the region exported grain, pulse, oily seeds and products worth of 2 million 531 thousand dollars and dried fruits worth of 947 thousand dollars and textile worth of 8 million 625 thousand dollars to African countries in January-August period in 2002.
The region exported most of the products to Egypt with 4 million 756 thousand dollars and the most exported product was polypropylen thread.
