Erbakan To Apply To Higher Election Board For Correction Of Decision

ISTANBUL - Necmettin Erbakan, the former leader of the banned Welfare Party (RP) said on Saturday that he will use his right to complain about the decision of the Higher Election Board, adding ''the Board will discuss the issue once again, I hope this wrong decision will be corrected.''
Speaking at Ataturk Airport, Erbakan claimed that the decision of the Board which rejected his candidacy to become a member of the parliament, is not final.
Erbakan commented that according to Article 131 of the Election Law, ''if the decisions taken are against the law, individuals have the right to complain about these decisions.''
