WASHINGTON D.C. - International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Thursday that they expected Turkey to fulfill this year's growth and inflation targets.
IMF Foreign Affairs Director Tom Dawson held a news conference at IMF headquarters in Washington and made some statements about Turkey.
When a journalist recalled that economic indications regarding growth and inflation were positive, Dawson said this year's macro economic targets in Turkey are secure within the framework of those positive indications.
Pointing out that the economic program progressed on its way sound, Dawson said IMF delegation would visit Turkey at the beginning of October and that, before this talks with Turkey will start during autumn meetings of the IMF and World Bank in Washington at the end of this month.
