DOGUBAYAZIT - Israeli search and rescue team started to climb to Agri mountain for consolidation of Turkish-Greek friendship on Tuesday.
Magnus Yechiel, the head of the Israeli Search and Rescue Team and the team's members Noked David, Rabina David and Gvýrtsman Michael will climb to Agri mountain. They have three Turkish guides.
The aim of the climb which takes place by the contributions of two tourism agencies in Turkey and Israel is to consolidate friendship between the two countries.
Yechiel, the head of the team told A.A that there is a cultural unity between Turkey and Israel for 5,000 years, adding that their another aim is to know Agri mountain and to promote it in Israel. He stressed that they can also promote tourism cooperation in this way.
Yechiel said that they would open Turkish flag, not Israeli flag on top of Agri mountain, adding that there are 40 groups waiting in Israel to come to Turkey to climb to Agri mountain.
