''I WAIT FOR CEM''
Deniz Baykal, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) who had a public meeting in southern Hatay province said that ''I wait Ismail Cem to come and join CHP until 17.00 local time on September 11.'' Baykal said that he wants to include the name of Cem, the leader of the New Turkey Party (YTP) to the list of the deputy candidates which CHP would submit to Supreme Board of Election on Wednesday. Cem said in his part that his party was not interested in adherence to or joining the CHP.

SAKARYASPOR HAS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
The traffic accident which took place in central Yozgat province claimed the lives of five persons. The bus carrying players for the second-division club Sakaryaspor flipped over, killing five people, and injuring 22 others. The bus was taking the team to a match in Sivas province. Firat Ondil, a player, and manager Aykut Yigit were among the five killed. The bus driver, a masseur, and another team employee were also killed. Nine other players, two coaches and several other team employees were hospitalized. The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.

FIVE-STAR HOTELS' FOOD TO BE GIVEN TO POOR PEOPLE
Hotels will give the overmuch food to poor people. A total of 40 million dollars of extravagancy will end and there won't be any hungry people. The project of ''Food Banking'' led by the Turkish Travel Agencies Union is implemented in the U.S. since 1970s. A coordination council will be set up and the names of the citizens who take the food won't be disclosed.

220 SIGNATURES TO POSTPONE ELECTIONS
According to the information the True Path Party (DYP) leader Tansu Ciller got, there were the signatures of 220 deputies ready who want the elections to be postponed. Parliament Speaker Omer Izgi said that ''if the motion calling for postponement of the elections is signed by 110 deputies, I will call the parliament to a meeting.''

TURKISH BIN LADIN
A Turkish person ''Osman Petmezci'' who tried to bomb a U.S. base in Germany was captured. Petmezci is a worker in a chemistry factory and his target was the American military base in Heidelberg city. German police seized 130 kg of chemical explosive materials, five pipe-bombs and the poster of the Saudi terrorist Ladin in his house. Petmezci planned the bomb attack with his fiancee who is from the U.S.

BOARD DECIDES TO INCREASE WAGES OF CIVIL SERVANTS BY 65-90 MILLION LIRAS
The Coincilatory Board which had meetings for five days decided to increase the wages of civil servants by 65-90 million liras. The wages of civil servants who have the lowest amount will increase by 90 million TL, while those of the highest will increase by 65 million.

BAYKAL SAYS NO ONE COULD ESCAPE FROM PEOPLE
Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal held a public meeting in Hatay together with Kemal Dervis who has joined CHP recently, Confederation of Turkish Labour Unions (Turk-Is) Chairman Bayram Meral and former State Minister Fikret Unlu. Baykal said that CHP was not at the parliament but it met with hundred thousand of people at the public meeting in Hatay. Baykal stated that the important thing was to be with the people not to be in the parliament.

TAKING ECONOMIC MEASURES TO BARZANI ON AGENDA
Ankara discusses to take military and economic measures against Iraqi Kurdistan Party (IKDP) leader Massaud Barzani who made statements against the Turkish army. Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit said upon Barzani's statement, ''we can't stay indifferent. We will certainly give the necessary response to these groups particularly the group headed by Barzani but without causing chaos or causing a political movement in our region. I believe that we can ensure peace in that region. The statements of Barzani are very shameful and improper. Kurds in Northern Iraq live in peace for years under the protection of Turkey and Turkish nation. But particularly the Barzani group does not show necessary concern for the Turkmens in Northern Iraq. We will take the necessary measures.''

ALLIANCE TRAFFIC IN POLITICAL PARTIES
The political parties which have concerns to pass the threshold are working to form alliance. The parties except Republican People's Party (CHP), Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Democratic Left Party (DSP) and Justice and Development Party (AK Party) are in alliance traffic. People's Democracy Party (HADEP) tried to form alliance with Felicity Party (SP) and then Motherland Party (ANAP). HADEP also held contacts with Freedom and Solidarity Party (ODP) and Socialist People's Party (SHP). HADEP later announced that it formed alliance with Work Party (EMEP) and Socialist Democracy Party (SDP) and said that they would join the elections under the name of Democratic People's Party (DEHAP).

NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM MAKES GOOD START
Turkey, buoyed by their World Cup success, cruised to a 3-0 victory against Slovakia in their group seven European championship qualifier on Saturday. Serhat Akin opened the scoring when Arif Erdem's cross from the right beat three Slovak defenders and Serhat slotted it home in the 14th minute. Serhat returned the compliment just before halftime, sending a fine pass through to Arif, who controlled the ball well before putting it away. Arif struck again 20 minutes after the break to put Turkey out of reach.''We wanted to make a good start so we're very happy we started well,'' said substitute Nihat Kahveci.

A TOTAL OF 90 MILLION TL INCREASE IN WAGES OF PUBLIC WORKERS
Conciliatory Board decided to increase gross 90 million Turkish liras (TL) in the wages of lowest degree public workers and increase gross 65 million TL in the wages of highest degree public workers. Conciliatory Board which has been continuing to work to solve the disagreement between the government and the public workers' unions during the collective bargaining talks since September 4 completed its works. Board Chairman Bilal Kartal said that the increase in the wages would be valid as of September 15.

UNFORTUNATE START FROM BAYKAL
Republican People's Party (CHP) started its election tour with an unfortunate incident. A platform which was prepared for the press members collapsed at the public meeting of CHP in Hatay on Saturday. Vatan Newspaper's Ankara representative Bilal Cetin and CHP Central Executive Board member Yilmaz Ates who were on the platform were injured. Cetin and Ates are in good condition, officials said.

BAYKAL SAYS ELECTIONS HAVE ALREADY TRANSFORMED INTO 'TWO-ROUND'
Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal said that the November 3 elections would be held in ''sociological two round understanding''. Baykal said that Turkey needed a single political power. He stated that their call to New Turkey Party (YTP) and Democratic Left Party (DSP) for unification within CHP would be valid till September 11 when the lists of deputy candidates would be given to Supreme Election Board (YSK).
