Talabani Goes To Sulaymaniyah From Turkey

ANKARA - Patriotic Union for Kurdistan (PUK) leader Jalal Talabani who held contacts in Ankara for a week, proceeded to Northern Iraq from Turkey by highway for the first time after seven years.
PUK officials in Ankara said on Saturday that Talabani who went to Diyarbakýr by plain reached Sulaymaniyah by highway after leaving Turkey from Habur border gate.
Talabani could not go to Sulaymaniyah from this region controlled by Iraqi Kurdistan Party (IKDP) for seven years.
Sources said that no problem occured during the passage of Talabani, adding that Talabani and IKDP leader Massaud Barzani plan to meet this evening.
