Turkey's Fight Against Terrorism Becomes Subject Of Book In United States

WASHINGTON D.C. - Turkey's successful strategies against terrorism took part in a new book about terrorism which was published in the United States.
The book which was titled ''Fight Against Terrorism: Strategies of 10 Countries'' and was published by Potomac Political Studies Institute was introduced in a press conference in Washington D.C.
The part of the book about Turkey was written by retired ambassador Gunduz Aktan and permanent security and defense expert in Washington D.C. Ali Koknar.
Talking in the press conference, Koknar said that Turkey has been fighting against different types of terrorism since the end of 1960s and throughout this period it lost 40 thousand citizens due to terrorism.
Koknar said that Turkey evaluated the terrorist organization PKK as an issue of protection of laws and order not as a military issue and so, kept the other countries' intervention in a minimum level.
The publisher of the book was the director of Potomac Political Studies Institute Yonah Alexander.
