ANKARA - Patriotic Union for Kurdistan (PUK) leader Jalal Talabani visited AK Party leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday.
Speaking in the meeting, Talabani said that he would give information to Erdogan about his contacts in Washington, adding that he would get the views and proposals of Erdogan about Northern Iraq.
Noting that he wants to come together again with Erdogan during his trips to Turkey in the future, Talabani said upon a question that he would also explain his impression about his visit to Washington during his contacts in General Staff. Talabani said that they didn't have the initiative to set up an independent Kurdish state and that their aim was to set up a democratic administration which would come together again in Baghdad.
Erdogan thanked to Talabani as he will give information to him about his contacts in Washington, adding that they would exchange views about the sensitive developments in Iraq.
