ANKARA - Turkey and China will mutually support construction companies to improve bilateral economic, technical and scientific relations in construction field.
The memorandum of understanding which was signed in Beijing by the Turkish Ministry of Public Works and Settlement and Chinese Construction Ministry in May was published on Tuesday's official gazette.
Under the agreement, two countries will mutually support the investments and corporation among consultation and engineering companies.
The agreement's goal is to improve city infrastructure, real estate sector and construction industry and to develop the production of construction materials in both countries as well as in third countries.
Turkey and China will encourage coordination between their research centers and private companies to conduct research and studies on earthquake engineering and management, minimizing the devastating effects of natural disasters, energy saving in buildings, construction technologies, waste material and sewer system control and technologies on waste discharge into sea and other related fields.
The countries will exchange experience and experts as part of the construction and city development projects.
The agreement also proposes to form a joint study group between Turkey and Japan.
