LEFKOSA - Cyprus direct talks process which has been continuing since January 16 to find lasting solution to the Cyprus question will resume on Tuesday.
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas and Greek Cypriot side leader Glafcos Clerides will come together for the 50th time in the 6th round of talks.
United Nations Secretary General's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro de Soto will participate in Denktas-Clerides meeting as an observer and the meeting will be held in the U.N.-controlled buffer zone.
Meanwhile, prior to the meeting between Denktas-Clerides and U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan that will be held on September 6 in Paris, Britain's Special Envoy to Cyprus Lord David Hannay and U.S. State Department's Special Coordinator to Cyprus Thomas Weston will visit the island in coming days.
The Greek Cypriot press reported that Hannay is expected to arrive in Cyprus on August 30 and Weston on September 3.
Sources said that Hannay would have a meeting with Denktas in Girne on September 1 in a mansion and would meet with Denktas again on September 2 at the Presidential Palace.
