Bahceli: Barzani's Statement Is Unacceptable

ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Devlet Bahceli who also acts as the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), said on Saturday, ''Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leader Massoud Barzani's statement is unacceptable. He talked nonsense. He is not aware of real power of the Turkish army.''
Together with State Minister Tunca Toskay, State Minister Faruk Bal, National Defense Minister Sabahattin Cakmakoglu, Health Minister Osman Durmus, and MHP Deputy Chairman Sevket Bulent Yahnici, Bahceli attended a ceremony.
Responding a question about Barzani who said, ''if Turkey intervenes in Northern Iraq, the region will become a cemetery for Turkish army,'' Bahceli said, ''Barzani's statement is unacceptable. He talked nonsense. He is not aware of real power of the Turkish army.''
Meanwhile, National Defense Minister Cakmakoglu said, ''Turkey is in favor of territorial integrity, political unity and sovereignty of Iraq. Any force in the region cannot challenge the Turkish Armed Forces.''
