De Soto Arrives In Cyprus

LEFKOSA - United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan's Special Envoy to Cyprus Alvaro de Soto arrived in Cyprus on Saturday to hold a series of contacts.
De Soto is scheduled to meet with President Rauf Denktas of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Glafcos Clerides separately on Monday.
De Soto will exchange views with the leaders prior to the beginning of the sixth round of direct talks on August 27, and the summit meeting among President Denktas, Clerides and United Nations Secretary General Annan in Paris on September 6.
